Another Snow Trip

This is a shot of the Beeline highway between Payson and Fountain Hills. Police had turned all the traffic around hours ago so there was nobody on the road. We had driven down a back street to pull the kids on the sled so the cops never saw us, to ask us to leave. On the way home we stopped in the middle of the highway several times to take pictures. There was nobody out there but us. A great day!
On the way up we got stopped for almost an hour waiting for the road to clear. Little cars had tried to drive on the highway and all they were doing was spinning out everywhere. The highway was blocked up with semis and these little cars. We finally drove onto the sholder because we have four wheel drive and passed most of the mess that way. We got stopped next to a truck pulling a large horse trailer (with horses inside) and I'm not sure how they were going to get out of that mess.
We always head up to the moutain with a full tank of gas, extra blankets, extra food, shovel and an emergency kit. And since we were going to play in the snow, we had all our snow gear. So we don't worry about getting stuck up there too much, we will survive.

Nicole needs to go to sleep. We put the camera on the bumper to get this shot, genius.

Breanna and Ashley being pulled on the sled behind the suburban. Check out how deep the snow is already. Another storm rolled in as we were leaving the mountain.
