Today all my kids are heading off to school. Breanna 6th grade, Ashley 1st grade and Nicole Kindergarten. They are sooooo excited. This morning they put their backpacks on and walked around inside the house twenty minutes before the bus was supposed to arrive. Brian and I made them homemade french toast for their special day.
Nicole was asked to bring a teddy bear to school for a teddy bear picnic. She doesn't own a teddy bear so she took a stuffed horse. She also had her first homework. Her teacher mailed her a paper to draw a self-portrait.
Yesterday was meet the teacher night. Breanna's home room teacher is Ms. Lewis, Ashley's is Mrs. Maldinado (spelling?), Nicole's is Mrs. Vining. Nicole was excited to see her classroom, playground and where the bathrooms were. Ashley was not as excited as I thought she would be. Her classroom is not as colorful or toy filled being in first grade. I didn't see Breanna's expression because she was at a dentist appointment with her Dad. He brought her after the appointment but I was busy then paying for the lunches at the office.
