For my photography assignment this week I needed to get a shot of an animal. I had some cool shots of animals from the past that the instructor would have let me use but I wanted to submit an animal picture I took just for the assignment.
I took shots of lots of different kinds of birds in lots of different environments, didn't really like any of them. Tried to get the cat to cooperate for his photo, that didn't happen unless the backside of a cat running away would count for an A. Tried different farm animals, boring or bad background environments. This mule was a lucky break. I had stopped to take photos of Roger's horses and his mule came to investigate. I had to stay on the other side of the gate or he would get right next to me and I couldn't get a shot of him. With him and I needing to stay on opposite sides of the fence for distance I was forced to shoot into the sun. Luckily this guy has a big head and was able to block out most of the harsh light. I have better shots of this guy giving me better personality looks but unfortunately there are horses butts or backs in all the shots.
Did you notice the horses in the distance or his hairy beard? What a funny guy.
